The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 by 52 runs over the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Despite Jasprit Bumrah's stunning fifer in the first innings, Pat Cummins starred with a three-wicket haul to enable KKR to seal a comfortable victory.MI lost skipper Rohit Sharma's wicket early in the innings as the right-handed batter was caught behind Tim Southee's bowling.

With Ramandeep Singh and Ishan Kishan out in the center, MI led 37-2 at the finish of the powerplay. The pair formed a solid partnership and rescued MI from peril. Russell's second wicket came when Ramandeep Singh was caught at beyond range.
